July 16, 2025 — Today marks another milestone in our company’s commitment to delivering tailor-made solutions for the global roofing industry. At our factory, workers are completing the final steps of loading a custom-engineered double layer roof roll forming machine into a container bound for Shanghai Port. The destination? Mali, a growing construction market in West Africa.
This machine isn’t just another shipment—it’s the result of months of technical coordination, profile selection, and custom engineering for a highly discerning client who values precision and quality above all else.
What sets this machine apart is its double layer design, allowing the production of two popular metal roofing sheet profiles: trapezoidal and corrugated.
The trapezoidal profile is ideal for commercial and industrial applications, known for its high strength, drainage performance, and clean lines. The corrugated profile, in contrast, has a more traditional appearance and is widely used in residential buildings, rural structures, and warehouses.
By integrating both profiles into a single frame, the customer gains greater production efficiency and flexibility—no need to change machines or tooling setups. Switching between profiles is quick and easy, allowing faster response to diverse market demands.
One of the most notable features of this project is the material specification. The customer requested the machine to handle high-strength steel with yield strengths ranging from G550 to G750. This level of hardness is far above standard roofing material grades and presents a serious technical challenge for forming equipment.
To meet this requirement, our engineering team made significant upgrades to key components:
Rollers made from Cr12Mov steel, precisely heat treated and polished, for long-lasting performance even under high stress.
Heavy-duty shafts and bearing seats, ensuring stable and consistent forming.
Gearbox-driven transmission system, offering powerful torque and superior synchronization compared to chain drives.
Hydraulic shearing system, designed to cut the formed sheets cleanly without deforming high-tensile materials.
These enhancements allow the machine to not only process harder materials but also maintain excellent accuracy and surface finish, which are essential for end-user satisfaction.
The client, a professional metal roofing supplier based in Mali, approached us earlier this year with a clear vision: to expand their product range and offer customers stronger, longer-lasting roof panels suited for Mali’s hot and dusty environment.
After reviewing sample profiles, site requirements, and future expansion plans, we recommended the double layer solution. The customer was particularly impressed with our ability to fine-tune the machine for G750 steel, a capability many other manufacturers could not confidently guarantee.
Throughout the production process, our team maintained close communication with the client—sharing drawings, videos, and technical updates to ensure everything met expectations before shipping.
Before loading, the machine was fully assembled and tested in our workshop. Each function was carefully verified, from profile accuracy to cutting precision. After inspection, the machine was coated with rust-prevention oil, wrapped with plastic film, and secured in a steel frame for safe ocean transport.
The container will soon depart from Shanghai Port and is expected to reach Mali in about 6 weeks. Upon arrival, the client will handle installation with guidance from our remote technical support team, available in both English and French.
This successful project reflects our factory’s global vision and technical strength in roll forming technology. As the construction industry in Africa continues to evolve, we are proud to play a part in supporting infrastructure development with high-performance, reliable machinery.
For us, this is more than a machine—it is a trusted partnership, built on engineering excellence and mutual respect. We look forward to seeing our equipment shape the skylines of Mali and beyond.
